Providing adequate support to young people from poor and excluded communities to complete university educationwhile counselling and tracking academic progress of those selected students. Financial support is being provided for purchasing study materials, traveling, purchasing uniform and getting coaching as educational support. Besides, support is also provided in linking these marginalized young people with government services like accessing Scholarships, Skill building and linking them with job opportunities, and training in Computer Science.
Child sponsorship is being carried out where in education materials, school fees, school dress, toiletries and nutritional support is given to the vulnerable children for continuing education up to their secondary level. The Tuition (Learning) Centers are being run and made more creative and welcoming for children keeping in view their all-round development. Extracurricular activities like music, painting, games, physical exercise, dance and theatre have been introduced. Needs and educational support for the academically weaker students being identified are being provided to meet the educational need for the children.
Strengthen school governance and education systems in target schools through training and empowerment of panchayat members, Village Education Committees, teachers, community groups, Members of Parents Teachers’ Association and staffs. The focus is on ensuring quality education, increased enrolment and retention as well as enhanced learning outcomes of children in schools.
Networking meetings with Government duty bearers on Child Protection issues (Child Labour, Child Marriage, Child Trafficking) for strengthening Education and School System besides ensuring the safety net and protection of children in schools. Further, engagement with children is carried out through Child Activity Centres where child centric joyful learning and educational support is ensured besides developing life-skills and child leaderships through Child Participation processes.
